Your Chance at a $150 LARP Weapon

Sileldar, Magic Elven Sword
I get email; A lot of email. Probably upwards of 400 emails each day. I don’t think it’s very surprising that I’m selective about the emails that I read. If it doesn’t pertain to my LARP business, this blog, or someone important I may not read it right away.
Yet once a month I get an email and no matter what I’m doing I open it up and click the link contained within. This particular email is LARP related, and I am interested in what the person has to say in general, but that isn’t why I open the email.
I want to see if I’ve won.
Each month the good people at Calimacil choose to just give away one of their finely crafted weapons and I want to see if this month it’s going to be me.
Many of you might already be aware of their draw and some of you might already have put your name in but this is such an awesome opportunity that I wanted to be sure everyone knows how to get their hands on such great weapons.
As I noted every month Calimacil does a draw to see who has won one of their weapons. How do you get into said draw? It’s easy and it’s free.
All you have to do is sign up to the Calimacil mailing list and you are automatically entered each month. That means that you receive 1 or 2 emails from them a month (they may change that… I can’t guarantee) and in return each and every month they give you a ballot in their draw.
They have given a weapon away every month since September 2008 and with the $150.00 CDN price range the winners have received great pieces like the Sileldar, the Dark Angel, and their new Highlander design.
Now they do have some rules for their draw, such as limitations on winning countries, etc. but all it takes is a few minutes of reading the guidelines and you could be in the winner’s circle like these LARPers.
I have yet to receive an email from the Calimacil mailing list that wasn’t pertinent to LARP or a quick message to let me know where they will be to get great deals on their items. And I’ve never received more than 2 emails a month to date.
This may all change in the future (I’ve suggested that they use their mailing list more) but either way it’s a hell-of-a deal.
You can sign up to their mailing list, read the contest rules and get a look at the kinds of weapons you are eligible to win all here.
Cheers,
Kevin
